Josh MacIvor-Andersen is an award-winning writer and educator, as well as a former professional and competitive tree climber. He is the author of the memoir On Heights & Hunger and the editor of Rooted and Rooted Two, the best new arboreal nonfiction. His personal essays and reportage have appeared in many journals and magazines, including
The Guardian, Normal School, Gulf Coast, Paris Review Daily, Fourth Genre, Arts & Letters, and Sycamore Review, among others. He is the Notes Editor for Ruminate Magazine and the Book Review/Interview Editor for The Waking. He lives in Marquette, MI with his family.
